Gym was cancelled last minute, but since I was already out on my bike, I took the opportunity to ride the long way home. It’s been a while since I’ve done a chilled out ride around the island, and I was drawn to Swan lake with the coloured lights reflecting on the peaceful lake, and swans bobbing along like stones feeding from the bottom of the lake. Sometimes they even popped their heads up to say hello.

I haven’t been out on my bike properly since August. It was good to be back out dodging the puddles on the local unmade gravel roads.

Next summer I’m thinking of changing my mode of holiday transport from two wheels to two feet and take on the WHW with Casper. I wonder if anyone fancies joining us. Maybe late June for long hours of daylight and before peak midgie season?

It was time for Casper to make friends with the bike.

Last weekend I got a new man in my life…

It was lovely to receive my Audax award through the post today.
